GC Annual Dinner 2026 — A Night of Laughter, Surprises, and Togetherness

This year, we were delighted to gather once again in Batu Pahat for our annual Chinese New Year dinner and celebration. It has been another meaningful year for the GC team, and we wanted this DND to be filled with even more fun, excitement, and memorable moments for everyone who joined us.

 

Showed Up at the Wrong Event 

To make this year’s dinner extra entertaining, we introduced a special outfit theme:
“Showed Up in the Wrong Event.”

Team members arrived dressed in outfits that were completely unexpected for a formal dinner setting — and the result was a night full of laughter and surprises. From a mountain climber and food delivery rider to a barber and many other creative looks, everyone brought their imagination and humour to the celebration.

The highlight of the night was seeing each other’s reactions as colleagues walked in wearing outfits that clearly belonged somewhere else.

Both outfits truly captured the spirit of the theme and brought endless laughter to the evening.

 

A Festive Start with Lou Sang 

No Chinese New Year celebration is complete without the traditional Lou Sang ceremony. We gathered together to toss the prosperity salad, sharing well wishes for success, good fortune, and growth in the coming year.

The evening continued with a grand spread of delicious Chinese cuisine, giving everyone the chance to enjoy good food while catching up with colleagues from different departments and regions.

 

Games That Brought Everyone Together 

To strengthen connections between team members across departments and locations, we introduced interactive games designed to encourage communication and teamwork.

Human Bingo gave everyone the chance to mingle, learn more about one another, and interact beyond their usual work circles. The activity created a lively and welcoming atmosphere as participants moved around completing their bingo cards.

Another crowd-favourite game, “Say the Word on Beat,” brought high energy to the dinner. The excitement in the room grew with each challenger who stepped forward and successfully completed the rhythm challenge, keeping the entire hall engaged and cheering.

 

The Final Hype: Lucky Draw & Money Tree 💰

As always, the lucky draw remained one of the most anticipated moments of the night. The excitement built up as numbers were called and winners were revealed, bringing cheers and celebration across the room.

This year, we added a special surprise — the Money Tree.
This fun addition gave everyone another chance to win extra cash, and the reactions from winners when their numbers were announced made the moment even more memorable.
