For our first episode, we kicked things off with a classic favourite – dumplings! Armed with a set of mystery ingredients and plenty of teamwork, we had to figure out the recipe, get creative, and whip up something delicious.

How to Prepare and Cook Dumplings

Here’s how you can recreate the magic of dumplings at home using our simple recipe:

Ingredients

  • Dumpling Wrappers
  • Garlic
  • Oil
  • Egg
  • 500g Minced Chicken
  • 1 Teaspoon Ginger
  • 1.5 Tablespoons Sesame Oil
  • 2 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 4 Tablespoons Chinese Chives

Simple Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Chop the garlic cloves and peel the ginger.
  2. Place the minced chicken in a bowl.
  3. Grate the garlic and ginger into the bowl, then add the egg, soy sauce, and sesame oil.
  4. Chop the Chinese chives into small pieces and add them to the bowl.
  5. Mix everything together thoroughly, then start wrapping the filling using dumpling wrappers.
  6. Heat some oil in a pan and pan-fry the bottoms of the dumplings for 1 minute or until golden brown.
  7. Add water to the pan, cover, and steam the dumplings for 4 minutes.
